We have had poison ivy for dayyyysss like ever since the 11th! and this morning we finally decided to go to the doctor because it would not go away! so they gave us some pills that we have to take for 2 weeks and the first three days we have to take 5 pills a day! it's the worst. all my life i thought poison ivy was some kind a cruel myth. psych. it's a real thing.
in other news life is great here in Illinois! it's been super hot and humid! I love serving in a YSA! We just got a new branch presidency and they have a high vision of the area so I am excited to see what Heavenly Father is going to do with this new energy.
PRATIK>>>MIRACLE
Pratik is from India and his religious background is Hindu. They believe in many many many Gods, but none of them having a close father-child relationship. We have challenged Pratik to read from the Book of Mormon everyday and to pray everyday and at first he was very... unfamiliar with prayer. but yesterday when we were talking to him he said that he has been able to pray and read everyday!! When he said this my heart was overwhelmed with joy! because my Pratik, my brother is coming to understand His father! There is nothing greater in this world than to know that you are a child of a Heavenly King, and that He loves you. That is what this gospel is ALL about. that is why we have prophets, scriptures, commandments, church, and families, because at the end of the day Heavenly Father just wants His children home. He loves us more than we could ever comprehend, and to help Pratik to begin to even feel a little bit of that humbles me greatly.
I love my Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for the plan of Salvation. I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ because without him it wouldn't be possible for you or me to return home.
