Sister Earnshaw and I are still in shock.............. we will be staying together!!! we are so excited!! but at the same time we were not expecting that! President Bateman has been throwing lots of curve balls so we have no idea what the rest of our mission will look like! exciting, right?!
"COME AND SEE"
was an event Sister Earnshaw and I suggested our Highland home ward do. It's an opportunity for people not of our faith to come and learn about our basic beliefs in a sacrament meeting. We did this yesterday! after much preparation and reminding members the day finally came! and guess what. TWO non members came! both of whom were youth. As i was reflecting on the outcome i couldn't help but feel overwhelmed in the fact that this is a very individual personalized gospel. It's okay that twenty people didn't come because Heavenly Father knows the hearts of His children. It made a difference for those two. I have covenanted to stand as a witness of Jesus Christ and I know as I actively engage in this great work I will be an instrument in His hands. He will use me for the benefit of His children. What greater joy could there be?

We can't expect to accomplish His work in our own way. This is something that Heavenly Fathers continues to teach me! It sounds like a "no duh" thing but let me tell you sometimes it's a lot easier said than done. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” Isaiah 58:8
I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I love that this gospel is not here just to make us better people, but it's here to teach us how to become like Christ; and that is the only way I can one day be worthy to live with my Father in Heaven again.
