150+ flyers later......

This week was on point! being YSA missionaries is still awkward but you gotta love it!

TENDER MERCY!
when being transferred here I lost my music USB.......... it was the saddest day of my life when I realized it was gone! jk not the saddest but I was pretty bummed. the more I pondered the situation the more I realized Heavenly Father was trying to teach me not to be so worried/focused on things of the world. Last Monday morning I finally learned my lesson, realigned my will with His and accepted the fact that I would just have to buy another one and start from scratch. Well last monday when I got home I started doing some laundry and I felt like I should look in one of my dress pockets just to make sure I didn't have any papers in there so they wouldn't get washed, but I was like nah I don't need to do that it will be fine................ famous last words.
So the washer ends and I put all my clothes into the dryer then I peer into the washer making sure I got everything and lo and behold guess what was sitting at the bottom of the washer......... MY USB!!!! At first I was like YESSS! but then I realized I just had WASHED IT!! and immediately I knew the spirit was trying to tell me earlier to check that pocket and I would have found it. BUT Heavenly Father knew  I would make that mistake and was still watching out for me because it still works!!!!! #hallelujah
moral of the story. if you have a thought come into your mind and it doesn't hurt anybody or anything, just do it. I promise you will see countless miracles.
"THE ROCK" on campus proselyting!
on Wednesday we went to SIUE college campus and we set up a little table with some book of Mormons and candy near "the Rock" aka the freedom of speech rock and we had to stay within 20ft of that rock but we could hand out as many flyers (for our church tour April 8th) as people would take. Not going to lie at first it was SO AWKWARD! but then we got into the hang of things and yelling at people across campus if they wanted candy/and or a flyer became natural! haha. we ended up handing out over 150 flyers and some book of Mormons and some pamphlets! it was awesome!!!!
ZONE CONFERENCE
so a responsibility that comes with being an STL means we get to give trainings at our missionary conferences. This past week we gave ours on obedience tied in with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lately we really have been studying the GOJC and it is mind blowing!!! every day i live the more I realize i have SO much to learn!! I can't explain it all. so I will just tell you what I have come to know.
i know that Faith in Jesus Christ is the first step in everything. When we have faith and love towards our Savior we will learn to trust him and we will want to change to become like him. The 'becoming' is more commonly known as repentance. The more we love Christ the more we understand what we need to do, that is keep the commandments. I know the commandments are there because that is how we APPLY the doctrine of Christ! I know that obedience comes naturally once we understand that. Which will then cause us to feel the spirit more and with that spirit it will give us the POWER to keep our covenants! I know he has literally given us all the tools, sometimes we just need to put on our spiritual eyes to see it.
