didn't know i was awkward

so working with ysa is SUPER fun!!! I love it and the branch is awesome!! but it has shown me how awkward I really am when it comes to sharing the gospel.... actually just talking to people my age hahaha. here are a few fun experiences

MOSES: so we pulled up to get gas and we were facing this other car with two college kids in it and we did the awkward wave. well they went in to get a treat. meanwhile once again our gas receipt wouldn't print so as we headed in they were coming out and literally they separated and walked like 10 feet on either side of us hahaha

POT COOKIES: so we had like a heck ton of cookies/ cupcakes...........long story.... but we weren't sure what to do with them so we decided to take some to a member, Alex. when we pulled up he came out and we were talking and this kid walked by and we said 'ALEX ask it he wants a cookie!!!" so i could see how this would look sketchy... but the kid replies with "Pot cookies????" no no no definitely not hahahaha

BLACK AT HEART: the other day we called this kid Elijah to see if we could meet with him. well we he texted us and said he would be at this members house (Lyn's). when we got there lyn came out and he was like "so elijah texted me and said two black missionaries from st louis were coming to talk with him! I knew that wouldn't happen so I got worried and thought some people from a gang were going to come and stab us or something! So i called the elders to have them come over and protect us!!" hahahahaha moral of the story is that apparently I sound black on the phone......... lol

all in all it's been interesting! I am excited to see what Heavenly Father has planned for this area! I know that this is His work. The great thing is that no matter where I am the gospel is still the same ;).

Today I was reading in 3 Nephi 9:15 it says "behold I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father and the father in me; AND IN ME HATH THE FATHER GLORIFIED HIS NAME." 

Christ came to this earth for Heavenly Father. I am on my mission to become like Christ so I can glorify my Father, to make him proud of the name He has given me. It just made me stop and think am I making him proud?
