Monday: It all started with two dinners. One in Danville (at the bishops) and one in Indiana! The one in Indiana we did FHE with them and it was so fun!
Tuesday: Sis Hill and I both felt that we should drop Abrion because she wasn't keeping commitments and all that jazz. So we went in and she got pretty mad and long story short we said we would continue teaching her. Afterwards we were super confused on why we felt the need to drop her if she was going to react that way and we would end up still teaching her anyways.
Wednesday: #funnystory We decided to get dipped ice cream cones and bring it to ward coordination for the other elders and the mission leader. It's like 5 minutes from the church so we thought it would be fine. So we get all of them and I am holding 4 of them and Sis Hill is holding one and driving. As SOON as we get them they just start melting!! So we had to blast the AC and I had to hold them next to the vents and by the time we got to the church my hands were frozen in that position hahaha. Basically don't travel with ice cream cones on a hot humid day hahaha.
Thursday: We had our lesson with Abrion. We weren't sure how it was going to go so we were kind of nervous. But when we went in she was like girls since our last meeting I've had time to think and I realized that I need to start keeping commitments and being more serious. YASSS! It was just a huge blessing!! We then understood on why we felt we should drop her! It was such a great reminder that Heavenly Father always sees the biggest picture and He knows what He is doing. We just have to trust Him :).
Friday: Youth Conference!! For our stake. We were chosen to be on a panel with some past missionaries. It was really cool! It was for 3 hours with 3 different groups of youth. basically all of the youth asked us any questions they had about missions. It made me feel old hahah
Saturday: We weekly planned. We are PUMPED for this coming week! We have some super high goals but we can do it :)
Sunday: Ward Open House. Man. So we had this legit idea to do a little thing on the Savior's life. It would start with His birth and then end with like the resurrection and stuff. It was supposed to be a great way to get the ward involved in missionary work! We handed out a ton of invitations and a lot of people said they would come! but we were super nervous because people are flaky
Then the time came and all of the rooms looked legit and we waited and waited. Finally one of the elders investigators came and then Abrion came and then ONE couple from the ward. Needless to say it flopped haha. So that was sad. But we are hoping this will help the ward realize we can't do it all on our own. We want to help the ward, not have the ward help us!
I am still learning new things everyday. I still love my comp Sister Hill! She isn't super uptight so we have a lot of fun, but also get a lot done. Danville is starting to improve and it's great!
This week we will get our new mission president, President Bateman! We are super excited! We will meet him this Friday.
Mainly I am STOKED for the 4th of July!!!! It's going to be so great!!!
