This week was eventful! haha being a missionary always keeps you on your toes.
week play by play
MONDAY: Margaret (a really solid investigator) left a door on her note saying now wasn't a good time for her to take lessons and to try back in December :( but we were able to still be placed in the path of those people whom we needed to meet!
TUESDAY: Interviews with President Bateman. It was a really neat experience! We were able to laugh and share insights. One of which was I memorized 3 Nephi 27:16
"And it shall come to pass, th at whoso repenteth and is bapt ized in my name shall be fille d; and if he endureth to the e nd, behold, him will I hold gu iltless before my Father at th at day when I shall stand to j udge the world."
And interestingly enough we both focused on the word "filled". what will we be filled with? joy, a peace of conscience, love, knowledge (Mosiah 4:3,12) and also LIGHT (d&c 88:67) one of the purposes of our bodies is to hold light, and the spirit :)
Wednesday: URGENT CARE VISIT hahaha so Sister McRae is allergic to tree nuts and we had dinner at a members home and we forget to say mention that..... and during desert she was telling us the ingredients of what she put in a sauce and she said cashews and our faces were like oh no. so we gave a little lesson and got out of there asap and ended up at urgent care. Besty the np took good care of us though haha Sis McRae had to get an IV and an epi injection. Sister bingham got woozy so she had to step out haha but i faithfully stayed by her side, when all was said in done Betsy said we needed to take an ambulance to the ER to be monitored..... we passed that offer down.. good news is that Sister McRae is happy and healthy! hahahaha
Thursday: Word of Wisdom lesson with Michelle and Charlie!! The gospel changes people!! We walked into their house and you could immediately tell they had been studying the Book of Mormon and praying. You could literally see the light in their eyes. I am so beyond grateful Heavenly Father has placed me in a situation where i can see 100% percent for myself what living the doctrine of Christ can do to an individual, but more importantly a family.
Friday: weekly plannnnned! I'm learning how to set goals and make plans. It's great :)
Saturday: nothing super eventful but funny story. We were in a meeting with our ward mission leader at his house and my arm was laying straight out to the side and i realized i hadn't flexed in a long time so i flexed to look at my muscles haha and before that moment no one was looking my direction but right as that happened our mission leader looked right at me hahahah it was funny. needless to say i am pretty buff ;)
Sunday: Primary Program! it was beautiful. I LOVE the Weldon Spring ward. At the end the young men and young women went up and sang how firm a foundation while the primary sang the wise man. Even thinking about it now gives me chills! Christ is my foundation and without that I know I would fall.
I am so grateful to be a missionary! I love my calling. There is nothing more rewarding or humbling than to know you are on the Lord's errand. I am extremely imperfect but I love the Lord and He loves me and that is all I need to know. That's what keeps me going everyday.
