How do transfers work in the MSLM??
Sunday night they call and tell you 1 (possibly 2) of 3 things. if you are staying in the area, leaving the area, or if you have a leadership position. You don't know who your new companion will be or what area you are going to until Tuesday when everybody meets together in a parking lot and you go to the specified table and look at a piece of paper to find out where and who you will be with and then get in the car with them lol. Honestly it's quite exciting and it really keep you on your toes

I will be leaving the Highland (Glen Carbon) area! It's kind of sad because I have been here for 6 months so I have made a lot of friendships. Honestly at first it gave me a little bit of anxiety but one thing that brings me IMMENSE comfort is knowing without a doubt that this Heavenly Father knows and loves me, so wherever I go/ who ever I am with, Heavenly Father needs me there. I know that President Bateman is an inspired mission president and he puts God's will before his own. This principle also strengthens my testimony of prophets. I know Thomas S Monson is man called by God and he also puts Heavenly Father's will before his own.
I think we can all kind of relate to this.Sometimes we may get a little anxious about change whether that means being released from a calling, receiving a new one, starting school, losing a job, moving, a death or a birth within the family, really the list could go on and on.. we experience change everyday! So what can bring us the constant comfort that we all seek? I testify that it is the knowledge that we are sons and daughters of a Heavenly Father who LOVES us! With that unchangeable knowledge we truly will be okay, even if we aren't sure how it will work out. Under "Faith" in the bible dictionary it tells us that "to have faith is to have confidence in something or someone. The Lord has revealed Himself and His perfect character, possessing in their fulness all the attributes of love, knowledge, justice, mercy, unchangeableness, power, and every other needful thing, so as to enable the mind of man to place confidence in Him without reservation." He has given us EVERY reason to trust Him! So why is it hard sometimes? Personally I believe it's because I don't know Jesus Christ as well as I should.
That is why we are invited all the time to read the scriptures, pray, serve others, and come to church! because in those very moments we are softened and the spirit can whisper truth into our hearts. I love my Savior but I need to know him better than I know him, and I invite you all to do the same.
I will let you know next week who my new companion is and my new area! I'm crossing my fingers it's somewhere in Missouri! lol I've been in Illinois a lonnng time! ;)
