IM ALIVE

don't worry I am still here! Apparently the day after Christmas and New years the library feels a need to be closed haha. but it's all good because here i am to tell you LIFE IS GOOD!

so there have been some pretty crazy miracles going on here in the little (HUGE) Waterloo branch and i wish i could tell you them all.. but I can't.

so here are some highlights

we tracted into an lds family who hadn't moved their records yet!.. we told President Evans (the branch president) that we were going to work hard to bring in new members but we never expected it to happen that fast!

WE MADE TAMALES for Christmas eve!.. literally the hardest thing i've tried to do so far on my mission.

CAROLING! on christmas eve (after the tamales) we went caroling with Zoila (13) and Abby (8) literally the cutest girls. We handed out candy canes and explained how they reminded us of Jesus :). I definitely want to make this a new tradition.

ANGELS lead us to a new investigator, Jana! literally we were being guided.

JEHOVAH WITNESS, Nicole! we tracted into her! she was super nice. interestingly I've learned so much about other religions since coming on my mission.

PUT SOME PANTS ON! one day I didn't wear tights or anything under my skirt and literally every house we tracted into told me at least 5 times to put some pants on. i just wish they had that much passion for the gospel hahaha

THINGS I'VE LEARNED IN WATERLOO

you can actually put lots of layers under tights. who would have thought! #notme

bugs can jump (see picture)

i alone can't do hard things, but with Christ we can move mountains

the people in the church are not perfect but our doctrine is

#1 NO SWEETS NO TREATS NO PASTRIES new year goal lol

#2 the jumping bug.. that makes them tricky to kill...

#3 Making Tamales!

#4 the caroling crew

#5 sister roberts <3

#6 the day after Christmas.... gonzo

#7 my face after tracting in the cold

#8 here is me eating some spinach
